Cayla Daniele, MHS '16, and John Prevelige, adjunct professors of physician assistant studies.

Cayla Daniele, MHS '16, and Jason Prevelige, MHS '09, MBA '21, two adjunct physician assistant (PA) studies professors, have been named among the 2026 America’s Top PAs by POCN, a national recognition program honoring physician associates for their contributions to patient care, professional leadership, education and their communities.

Daniele was recognized in obstetrics and gynecology for her commitment to women's health, clinical excellence and advancing the physician assistant profession. A Quinnipiac alumna, she has also held several leadership positions with the Connecticut Academy of PAs, including serving as president from 2024 to 2025. At Quinnipiac, she teaches obstetrics and gynecology and mentors students during clinical rotations.

Prevelige was recognized in emergency medicine. A 2009 graduate of Quinnipiac’s PA program and 2021 MBA graduate, he brings more than 17 years of clinical experience and a decade of academic experience to his work. He is a nationally recognized advocate for the PA profession, having served as president and chair of the board of directors of the American Academy of Physician Associates. He also is committed to mentoring future physician associates and advancing patient access to care.

POCN's America’s Top PA program, now in its 10th year, is the only peer-nominated recognition program honoring physician associates across major clinical specialties. The 2026 class includes 15 honorees from 12 states, recognizing professionals whose influence extends beyond individual patient care to strengthening the profession and healthcare communities nationwide.
